Elizabeth Levers Memorial Fund for Youth Projects
Elizabeth Levers, a long time supporter of hiking trails,
liked to encourage young people to participate in trail projects. Started by a generous gift of her relatives and increased
by other gifts to the fund, it
currently should be able to support about $1000 of grants each year. It helps finance projects so that youth can learn about hiking trails and
volunteering.
Applicants are reminded that this is a matching grant program.
Applicant must document that efforts have been made to secure
additional funds to partially match the amount requested. These can be
the value of donated materials or professional services.
Additional gifts to the fund are welcome.
Grants to Clubs
Member Clubs of the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference are
eligible to apply for a small grant to help defray costs associated with the
club's trail-related activities. Up to four awards will be made annually
at the discretion of the Trail Conference Board of Directors. The maximum
award is $250 per club per year.
