Help the Trail Conference generate
traffic to our site. We can get free advertising on a commercial site
if you write an article that they choose to publish on their site. (We
will consider it for publication on our site as well.
For an example, see David Day's article on Bears.
) We have a link
exchange with their site. Submit your articles to the webmaster.
See their pitch below.
Part of the draw to OutdoorPlaces.Com
is
our Links Library. With over 1,400 registered links, our library is
used by hundreds of people each day, and some of you have benefited
from a lot of traffic. On the internet content is king, and OutdoorPlaces.Com
needs to accelerate adding content to our site. What
better source to turn to then those of you with outdoor related sites.
We have several ideas that we feel you will find interesting and
requires very little work on your part to even further boost traffic
on our site.
LEVEL I:
OutdoorPlaces.Com is looking for small one to two page stories on
almost any topic. Those stories with photos would get strong
consideration. If you have a personal site dedicated to a favorite
national park, you may want to consider writing a story about a
favorite hike within that park. OutdoorPlaces.Com would publish your
story on our site. If you have a commercial site, or if you desire, on
your story we would add a 110 X 50 ad with a short byline describing
the author and their website. This ad and byline would remain on our
site FOREVER and would be linked to your site. Those clients who visit
OutdoorPlaces.Com could click through and get even more information on
the destination. If you look at what our site offers and the holes we
have on ours, I'm sure you will find that there are almost unlimited
opportunities for you to build your traffic. Remember as we grow you
grow with us.
LEVEL II
OutdoorPlaces.Com is looking for moderately sized pieces from three
to six pages on travel destinations. We are especially interested in
national parks, national forests, and state park destinations.
Overseas destinations are of particular interest. Our readers are
looking for information. For providing us your full featured
destination story OutdoorPlaces.Com
would add a 110 X 50 ad with a
short byline describing the author and their website. Further, for the
period of 30 days the story would be featured on our homepage, which
gets over 60,000 impressions a month and if you were a commercial site
or outfitter, we would place a 80 X 30 ad within the homepage story
acknowledging your sponsorship. Stories with photographs would get
special consideration. Again if you look at what is available, I think
you will find vast opportunities to increase exposure to your site,
and get free advertising on ours.
LEVEL III
OutdoorPlaces.Com is looking for large pieces in excess of six
pages about regions or broad topics. With exception to the Black Hills
of South Dakota and Grand Canyon National Park this area is basically
wide open. For providing us a broad overview of several parks or
features in an area, commercial sites or those desiring would get a
free 110 X 110 ad with a short byline describing their site and the
author. Further, for a period of 30 days the story would be featured
on our homepage with a 80 X 30 ad. The story would also be featured in
the OutdoorPlaces Post.
