Can You Imagine? Christopher Reeve Foundation Can!
Can you imagine…
The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference is developing an accessible trail segment at the summit of Bear Mountain as a component of the Bear Mountain Trails Restoration Project, in partnership with the National Park Service, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, the Palisades Interstate Park Commission and the New York State Department of Parks. We are pleased to announce that the Christopher Reeve Foundation has seen fit to support this project with a Quality of Life Grant. We say ‘thank you’ to the Christopher Reeve Foundation for joining in the collective imagination of the many staff, volunteers and partners of the Trail Conference who say we can imagine Appalachian Trail accessibility for all the residents and visitors of our region – and we can make it come true.
The Trail Conference plans to have the under-construction Summit Accessible Trail Segment on display for the thousands of people who will visit the Bear Mountain Trails Restoration Project as part of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy Biennial Conference the Trail Conference in July, 2007.
