call the Chairman (Ron Rosen: 845/454-4936 (be persistent) or 454-1721 (leave a
message if not in) if you CANNOT attend. NOTE THAT WE ARE AT OUR USUAL LOCATION,
THE EAST FISHKILL LIBRARY!
2. Ron Samuelson is the (relatively) new Chairman of the East
Hudson Trails Committee of the NYNJTC. Ron has agreed to spend a few minutes
with us, primarily to discuss possible avenues of cooperation of our two
committees.
3. The Graymoor public closing ceremony will be held at the
"red shed" where the AT adjoins the Graymoor Entrance Road on Friday,
May 25th, at 2:00 PM. Reportedly, Senator Schumer will be there, as will Pam
Underhill and Judy Brumback representing the NPS. One can guess that the press
will be there too…. DPATMC members are welcome to attend; please inform Ron
Rosen if you plan to attend (and got this in time)!
4. The NYNJTC office is submitting a Greenway Grant and an
ATC Outreach Grant (paired together) to support (among other things) reprinting

REMINDERS & MISC ITEMS.!
1. Please bring your calendars to this meeting, so we can schedule meetings for the second half of the year. Remember the picnic meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10th, location to be confirmed (probably RPH shelter).
2. It’s that time of year again —supervisors should have sent out Trail Maintenance forms by now. The reporting period ends on May 31. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE NEW FORMS distributed last year (or get brand new ones from the NYNJTC web site). May is prime season for getting the trail in shape for the upcoming hiking season.
3. July 15th is the deadline for 2002 Outreach Grants. Bring any proposals to this meeting! Likewise, Grants to Clubs proposals are due at that time also.
