Announcement & Agenda for 167th Meeting

0. FYI and FYA items will circulate (see below)
1. Review and approval of minutes of the 166th
meeting, October 15, 2001.
2. Meeting Centerpiece: This is our last meeting for 2001. We will
therefore do some planning for next year. First, we will schedule
our meetings for the first half of 2002. Second, we will review our
goals for this year and set some preliminary goals for 2002 (we will
finalize this list at our first meeting next year). FINALLY, and
MOST IMPORTANT, Please bring some small item of refreshment so we
can have a small holiday celebration.

A. Acquisitions and Survey update
B. DOT project update (Jim Haggett)
C. Cell tower update, if any
D. First week of hunting season observations
E. Water Testing and well-related plans and problems

remains: If he arrives in time, we may meet with Steve Anderson, the
Putnam Valley Town Historian, to discuss a military history site he has
identified on the NPS corridor adjacent to the Trail.

REMINDERS & MISC ITEMS.
1. MEETING SCHEDULING Bring your calendar (and holiday
refreshments) to this meeting so we can schedule meetings for
the first half of 2002!
2. Reminder
to SUPERVISORS, Maintainers, and caretakers: The fall trail
maintenance period ends at the end of this month. Please make
sure all volunteers have CURRENT maintenance forms in hand,
and remind them that the forms are due to the supervisors by November
30. Supervisors' reports and the volunteers' forms are due
to the chair, Ron Rosen, by December 14.
3. Monitors
and Supervisors: The fall Corridor Monitoring reports are due
to the supervisors by December 1st! Supervisors'
reports are due to the Chair by February 15th.
4. Be alert
to possible fire hazard declarations! At the time of this
notice, a fire is burning on Schaghticoke Mountain in the
vicinity of the AT’s views to the south. NY and CT companies are responding
