Picture of something

Give Back in Just One Day!

Buddy System: Join  a Corridor Maintainer repainting boundary blazes.

Enlarge Morgan Stewart well pad: Carry in and use wooden forms and concrete to make the pump run-off area larger.

Create road signage:To keep trails safe, we need assistance routing road crossing and shelter signs.

Complete puncheon: Area in need is between Old Rt. 55 and Whaley Lake Stream Bridge.

Build Water Bars: Place logs or rocks diagonally across a sloping trail to control water erosion.

Repaint AT blazes: Help mark trails for future hikers!  Blazes are in need of repainting at Indian Pass, Depot Hill Road, and I84 to view south of Mt. Egbert Monument.

Ready for More?

Corridor Monitors: Become a monitor for the Appalachian Trail. Travel an assigned portion of the AT boundary markers on the lookout for monuments and incursions. Time Commitment: 2-4 times per year.

Well-pump Sampler: Collect monthly water sample from the pumps at Wiley and Morgan Stewart Shelters.
Take the sample to Dutchess County Department of Health in Poughkeepsie.

AT Maintainers and Shelter Caretakers: Maintain the trail or shelter to ensure that the hikers’ experience is excellent.
