Central Jersey Trail Crew

The Trail Conference trail crews are made up of volunteers dedicated to the construction and rehabilitation of foot trails in the southern New York and northern New Jersey area. Volunteers do not have to become members of the Trail Conference to participate in these projects, however membership is encouraged so that you can enjoy benefits such as discounts on Trail Conference publications and with our retail partners.

All are welcomed; no previous trail work experience is necessary. Bring sturdy boots, work gloves, lunch and water.

Bring your lunch, plenty of water, gloves and sturdy workshoes, and be prepared to get dirty. All tools, materials and training will be provided. Beginners are welcome on all work trips.

All events begin at 9:00am. Please phone/email the leaders for meeting location and driving directions. There is usually a walk to the work site, so please be there on time (call the leaders' cell phone if you are coming to an event and are running late). Rain cancels - if in doubt, call the leaders between 7:00 and 8:00 that morning.

Carpooling: if anyone is interested in carpooling (offering a ride or riding), please let the leaders know and we will try to arrange a shared ride. (Passengers please be prepared to contribute for gas.)

Sign-Up: Email or phone leaders if you are interested in attending any work trip so we know how many tools to bring. Directions and meeting place will be given at that time.
