Trail Walker is the news journal of the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference. Trail Walker reports news about trails in our region and the people and agencies who build, maintain, and protect them. It also publishes trail-related event listings, including two pages of hikes offered by our member organizations that are open to the public.

Unsolicited manuscripts on topics related to our mission will be considered. (Generally, articles are 200-700 words.) Submit as Word or rtf format. To make an article proposal, use the contact email above. (We do not pay for articles, but do give bylines.)

Photos submissions are welcome. Digital file sizes needed for print are larger than those required for the web. Set your camera for a high or highest resolution. The smallest size photos that we can use is 3 inches x 2.25 inches @ 300dpi (900 x 675 pixels). Larger sizes are recommended and should be saved as RGB jpeg files.(We do not pay for photos, but do give photo credits.)
