Project/Trail Location:
West Milford, NJ
Project Description:

 Volunteers working on trail tread.

Everyone is welcome to join - beginners and experts alike. Shoot us an email if you're interesting in coming out on this work trip!

Terrace Pond South leads to the extremely popular Terrace Pond in Wawayanda State Park. The route up to this gorgeous spot has several wet areas which make it difficult for hikers to pass without getting mucky. We'll be learning how to troubleshoot these problem areas with solutions like stepping stones, timber-cribbed puncheons, drainage dips, relocations, and more. Be prepared for some brainwork in addition to muscle work this trip.

Bring: Sturdy shoes, water, lunch/snacks, and tough clothing appropriate for outdoor work (including gloves and safety glasses if you have them). Raingear and warm layers depending on forecast. Be prepared for some good walking and wholesome outdoor exercise!
