Save the Echo Lake Lean-to

Join the Catskills Trail Crew, as they rehabilitate the well loved, and heavily used Echo Lake lean-to. The crew will be replacing the roof, adding a fresh coat of stain, and building an outhouse. Volunteers will help carry supplies from the Overlook carriage rd. down to the worksite, at Echo Lake. Dress to hike with a heavy pack or load. So think good ankle support. Additionlly, you should bring at least one layer that can get dirty or stained, think wet paint.  Volunteers should also bring layers as the temperatures will vary throughout the weekend. Also participants should bring enough food and water for their stay. Crew members will be camping onsite if they chose to stay, additionally a crew leader will be at the Meade's Mountain Rd Trailhead by 08:00 each morning, to greet the new volunteers.
