Upcoming East Hudson Trail Crew dates:

 

  • Sunday 9/18 - South Taconics - clipping on the Alander Mountain Trail

 

On Sunday 9/17 the East Hudson Trail Crew will be working on the Alander Mountain Trail in the South Taconics.  Please RSVP if you intend to come so I know who to contact if our plans change again at the last minute.

 

  • When:  9:00 Sunday 9/18
  • Where:  Alander Mountain Trail in the South Taconics
  • Meeting Place:  Rail Trail parking lot on Under Mountain Rd.  We will car pool to the Alander Brook parking lot, which is too small for us all to park in.
  • What:  Clipping on a chronically overgrown section of the Alander Mountain Trail, near the summit of Alander Mountain.
  • Tools:  Loppers and handsaws.  I have tools to share with people who need them.
  • The hike to the work site:  About 2 miles and 1200’ elevation.
  • The usual:  Please bring lunch, ample water, work gloves, sturdy boots, and work clothes appropriate for the weather that you don't mind getting dirty.
