Project Description:
Flat Rock Brook Nature Center is looking to improve accessibility on one of their bridges by constructing ramps to allow wheelchair access. A staff person from the Nature Center will be on hand to direct volunteers – no technical experience needed (though experience with simple power tools is helpful!). A neat change of pace from typical back-country trail work.
Bring: Notebook, pen/pencil, sturdy shoes, water, lunch/snacks, and tough clothing appropriate for outdoor work (including gloves and safety glasses if you have them). Raingear and warm layers depending on forecast.
