The Trail Conference's Invasives Strike Force crew will be joining Friends of FDR Park and Parks & Trails New York to help remove invasive plants at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights, NY. Events are being scheduled statewide to support our NY State Parks in this initiative of Parks & Trails New York and New York State Parks. In our region: Friends of FDR Park are hosting two projects (10am-2pm) 1. Vinecutting: Join Friends and the Trail Conference Invasives Strike Force to remove invasive vines;  appropriate for all ages, 2. Scrap metal pick up - for anyone 18 and up.   Bring loppers/clippers, water, and lunch. Wear work gloves. Meet at parking lot #6. Someone will be there all day to direct you.
