The New York - New Jersey Trail Conference's Invasives Strike Force trail crew leader will be assisting with a workday put on by the Friends of Old Croton Aqueduct to remove invasive plants in the park. Please come out and join us!

This event is part of the state-wide "I Love My Parks" day sponsored by Parks & Trails NY and the NY State Parks.

WHEN: Saturday May 7  9:30 - 3:00
           
WHERE: Old Croton Aqueduct State Historic park, Croton-on-Hudson, NY (Westchester Co.)

ACTIVITY: We'll be removing invasive vines and shrubs along this linear park and helping to replace them with new plantings of native plants continuing work started last year by the Friends group.

There is a variety of invasive plants present at this park including several on our Phase 2 survey list. Come out and get a look at porcelainberry, Siebold's viburnum, and Japanese angelica tree.
