This day will be an introduction to working with the crew - it's required for the trailbuilding interns, but anyone is welcome to join in who wants to know more about the "office side" of trailbuilding.
The morning will be spent indoors learning how to use the Trail Conference map app, downloading free maps for future work sites, going over roles within the crew, and looking ahead at the summer's schedule. After lunch we'll head out to take a short hike in Ramapo Valley County Reservation to take a look at a work project from last year which we'll be continuing this coming season.
Bring: Sturdy shoes, water, and lunch/snacks. Raingear and warm layers depending on forecast. Be prepared for some good walking and wholesome outdoor exercise!
