Trail leaders are encouraged to use the online form via smart phones to sign up volunteers not yet registered, before beginning work. (cell service permitting).
Bring copies of the attached paper form below to sign up a volunteer in the field on the day of the trip, or anyone who has not registered yet.
Additional New Requirements
In addition to completing the VSA for each year, all maintainers must notify their supervisor before all maintenance trips.
Chainsawyers should call the park notifying them of any trips so that the parks know they are out there.
Some parks may require preapproved permission for all chainsaw work. Check with your park to obtain park permissions before beginning work.
