Hike in Harriman with Senator David Carlucci

Join Trail Conference volunteer Bob Fuller and State Senator David Carlucci (D Rockland/Westchester) for a guided trail hike at Harriman State Park. 

This will be a moderately strenuous 3.5-miles circular hike over uneven terrain with an initial steep and rocky climb to beautiful views of the Hudson River valley and Hudson Highlands.  It will also feature visits to the unfinished 1890 Dunderberg Spiral Railroad grades and tunnels.

Meet: 8:30am at the Jones Point parking lot in Harriman State Park located on the west side of 9W (this is directly across from the intersection of 9W/202 with Old Ayers Rd).  It is approximately 1.5 miles north of Thompkins Cove and 3.5 miles south of Bear Mountain.
 
The hike is expected to complete by noon.  Please bring snacks and a minimum of 2 quarts of water .  Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.
