Parks Advocacy Day Support and Follow-up:
Are you looking for a way to show your support for New York State parks and historic sites?
- the Governor's proposed $90 million investment in capital projects for parks
- an enhanced Environmental Protection Fund of $200 million to provide critical funding for stewardship, open space protection, and municipal park grants
- an increased operations budget for New York State Parks and Historic Sites, whose funding has remained flat despite increasing visitation and rising prices
Contacting your legislators is as easy as writing an email or making a quick phone call. Our parks need your help.
Your letter or call will build on the advocacy by us and our colleagues statewide at the 8th Annual Parks Advocacy sponsored by Parks & Trails New York and the Alliance for New York State Parks on February 26 in Albany.
