Volunteers Needed for Corps Professional Development Day

The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference is hosting a professional development day for Trail Conference AmeriCorps Members, Rockland Conservation and Service Corps Members, and MEVO Members.

We Are Looking for 15 Volunteers to Help with the Following Activities:

1) Give Presentations on the following topics:
• Job Searching
• Writing Cover Letters
• Writing Resumes
• Interview Skills

2) Perform Mock Interviews

3) Review Member Resumes and Cover Letters

4) Speed Mentor on the Above Topics

Desired Volunteer Skills:

• Experience interviewing or hiring for environmental related positions
• Experience editing or reviewing resumes and cover letters
• Experience with environmental job searching
• Experience with Federal Job Application Process – National Park Service, Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to give 1 on 1 advice and interviewing tips

When: Thursday, July 9th 10 am to 5pm
