The National Park Service and its non-profit partner, the National Park Foundation, will introduce the National Park Pass Tuesday, April 18th. Hot from the printers, the Pass will provide American families with a better value when they experience the natural, cultural and recreational offerings of America's 379 national parks.

The National Parks Pass makes an even better story because it becomes officially available during the National Park Week 2000, April 17th to April 23rd. The Presidentially-proclaimed week is designated to celebrate the richness, diversity and spirit of our national parks.

The National Park Service estimates it will host nearly 265 million visitors this year. What a better time to feature a story on national parks and the Parks Pass as families begin to schedule spring get-a-ways and summer vacations. Featuring national parks would make a great travel story during National Park Week and possibly throughout the year.
