ECHO Lake Environmental Center, Newark's Pequonnock Watershed
Join the Sierra Club, AMC, the Highlands Coalition, Sterling Forest
Resources and the NY/NJ Trail Conference for an unique
day of learning about the biological richness of
the Highlands region in Newark's Pequannock
Watershed. With hundreds of bears and rich in a variety bird
and reptiles, this is an area of local and national significance.
We will spend the morning with leading wildlife biologists learning
about the important and rare species in the region and
how to spot them. After a brown bag lunch, we
will head out with the experts on the
"trail" to look for signs of black bear, bobcat, beaver and
more.
Activists and staff from the Sierra Club, AMC, NY/NJ Trail
Conference, Highlands Coalition will be there to
let you know how YOU can get involved with
efforts to protect the WILD Highlands.
SPACE IS LIMITED, lunch is $6, kids over 10 are welcome.
