Teller’s Point Lodge, Croton Point Park, Westchester County

The annual meeting always features awards presentations. This year the focus in on our volunteers, especially the trail maintainers. They will be able to pick up a free t-shirt that identifies them as trail volunteers. Come and meet your fellow maintainers!

9:00	Pancake breakfast
10:00	Annual meeting including election of board members and delegates-at-large, awards, thank-you to the trail volunteers
11:30	Hikes
3:00	Refreshments and social time

Our pancake breakfast with 100% maple syrup is becoming a tradition of the Trail Conference’s annual meetings. Come join us as we say thank-you to our trail volunteers: maintainers, supervisors, trails chairs, crew members, crew leaders, and crew chiefs. They are the folks who take care of the trails so we can hike.

Join us and meet other people who share your interest in trails and hiking. Hikes in the area are scheduled for after the meeting.

Getting There

Public transportation is available to Croton-Harmon Station. Arrangements can be made to be picked up there as it is about a 2.4-mile walk to the lodge. The Metro-North Hudson Division 7:51am arrives at 8:42am. The 6:20am would arrive with enough time to walk out to Teller's Point Lodge.
* Get to Route 9 (see below) and take the Croton Point Avenue exit which goes to the Croton-Harmon train station and follow the signs to the park across the tracks.
Map Go all the way to the end of the point for the Lodge. It is well past the camping area where there is a gate. Someone should be there to let you thru if not too early.
From west of the Hudson, take I-287 Tappan Zee Bridge and go north on Route 9 just over the bridge. Or if further north than I-287, take Bear Mountain Bridge and go south on Route 9. See * above.
From east of the Hudson, get to Route 9 and go north or south as appropriate, or from the Taconic Parkway take either Route 9A exit from the south or Underhill avenue to Route 129 exit from the north. Follow the signs to the train station. See * above.

Hikes

There will be several choices, on the point and at nearby parks/preserves. On the point a local historian will lead a hike with comments about early native Americans, wine making and other pre-park history.

Other hikes will be announced here as they are finalized.
