NATIONAL TRAILS DAY 2006
“Experience Your Outdoors”

Inlet, New York



Where: Black River (BRWF) and Fulton Chain (FCWF) Wild Forests /
    Pigeon Lake (PLWA) and Ha-da-ron-dah (HWA) Wilderness Areas

When: 8 am to 4 pm, meet at designated trailheads

Trail Projects:

  1. Trail to West Mountain, East of Constable Pond (PLWA): Blowdown removal and sidecutting.
  1. Black Bear Mountain (FCWF): Drainage cleaning, blowdown removal, & sidecutting.

 

  1. Queer Lake Trail (PLWA): Blowdown removal, sidecutting, & drainage cleaning.
  1. Remson Falls Trail (BRWF): Sidecutting and blowdown removal.

 

  1. Chain Ponds Trail (PLWA): Sidecutting and blowdown removal.
  1. Cedar Pond Trail (HWA): Sidecutting and blowdown removal.

 

  1. Mays Pond Trail (PLWA): Blowdown removal and sidecutting.
  1. Rocky Mountain (FCWF): Drainage cleaning and rock waterbar work.

 



Pre-Trails Day Event:
Where: The Woods Inn
When: Friday, 5 pm to ?
What: Social at the pub

Après-Trails Day Event:
Where: Ole Barn
When: 5 pm to 8 pm
What: Hors d’oeuvre Buffet and Music. Dinner and cash bar will be available.

  1. NYS DEC is offering free camping at Limekiln Lake Campground for trail volunteers (we will reserve a set number of sites, including group sites).
