On Tuesday, April 15th, 2008, join hundreds of activists in Albany calling for stronger laws protecting New York's open space, air, and water.
In the morning, we will hear from state lawmakers, including Gov. Patterson, and environmental leaders about important bills pending in the State Legislature. In the afternoon, we will meet with State Senators and Assemblymembers and urge them to take action to curb global warming, increase recycling, cleanup up brownfields, protect New York's wetlands, and more.
The all-day event is FREE and open to all, but you must pre-register. All participants will get a free t-shirt. To register, send the information requested below to Bill Mahoney at NYPIRG (e-mail to wmahoney@nypirg.org; or fax to 518-432-6178) by Friday, April 11. We will send you more detailed information about the location, schedule, and agenda for the day.
