5. Phase 2 planning

* Process:  gather requirements, prioritize requirements, size implementation, build work plan, implement per plan.
* Gather requirements -- Steo 1: Build tentative starter list of requirements (in random order for now); Step 2: take to committees, staff, board for additional input.

Jenni Hezel will attend from 2 to 2:30 to review Donate content and her suggestions for the site.

Web site is awesome. Needs some work on friendliness and flow. Would donor know to find donation under Go Shopping. Concerned that people are turned away by glitches (can't enter pw cause caps lock on, etc.)

Walt suggests adding testimonials.

Should we put a Donate tab at the top?
Can users easily track donation history? (no)
Need radio button for transaction type (Darlington or Annual Fund)

TC has donor-restricted funds and board-restricted funds. Separate fields for in memory of/ in honor of.

Reconcile accounts with AMEX, Visa, MC ... requires Ubercart software change.

2. Subteam status reports

Ed working on getting sponsors for Web pages. How will these be managed? (what database? how will we know when an ad expires?)
Publicity forthcoming: Bergen Record, NY Times Sunday (Walkable Westchester)

Sponsorships on hike page ... make first tab (use house ads when there is no sponsor) (Walt to do?)

* Content (Georgette)

Georgette making things look pretty. Draft database for crews. Need working expirations so crew trips fall off.
Science and Ecology content, house add on search hikes page, etc.

* Technology (Walt)

still need to send info on args for views (sample cases)

Walt to add Dogs under Details in Hike view (DONE!).

Fixed hikes to eliminate region names with The. Need to make sure all region url fields are filled in, then switch.

Better prompt when users buy membership and something else at same time.
Reports - sales report has dubious values ... bug to report.

Long Path book -- one Web page per chapter as html. Include updated content as it becomes available. Walt to put the guide on the Web. (Maps do not show trailheads well. Need to improve as we go to Web (Google maps with GPS locations of parking.)

Georgette to add Viewpoint forum topic "Hiking with Dogs". (DONE!)
