NY-NJ Trail Conference Delegates’ Meeting - June 22, 2000
We will meet at the Alpine (NJ) Boat Basin pavilion, about
6 miles north of Ft. Lee and the GW Bridge.
The social hour begins at 6 PM, and the Business meeting begins
at 7 PM. Dr. Joan Ehrenfeld, Professor of Ecology at Rutgers
University, will speak on "Exotic Species: Ecological Issues
for Hikers".
The pavilion at the Boat Basin is an open-air, roofed pavilion;
seating is provided at picnic tables.
Directions to the Alpine Boat Basin:
Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway to Exit 2. Follow the exit
ramp to the signs for the Palisades Interstate Park Commission New
Jersey Headquarters. Drive past the Headquarters building,
descending on the road towards the river. At the traffic circle,
follow signs to head northward to the Alpine Boat Basin. Park at the
far end of the parking lot, and walk north past the historic house
to the fieldstone pavilion.
