called off for this year.
A bear hunting season will take place this year, as
follows (all dates are inclusive):
- Sept. 18 and 22
- Sept. 30 - Oct. 27
- Dec. 4 - 9
There is still some chance that the hunt will be stopped. The
Sierra Club and other organizations have filed a suit to stop the hunt
- no word yet on how or if it will be successful.
The usual advise of wear blaze orange applies or stick to
known non-hunting trails on those days.
Legislation to repeal the ban on Sunday hunting in NJ
did not pass, so there continues to be NO hunting on Sundays in New
Jersey.
