Many of you may recall that Guy & Laura were keynote speakers at a TC annual dinner in the 1980s. Their book, Forest & Crag, remains the best source of the best history of eastern hiking in general and the formation of the NY-NJ Trail Conference. He was a personal friend, my first winter hiking instructor, and an important mentor to our own Eddie Walsh. We are all deeply saddened by his early death.
