Welcome

The movers pick up everything in NYC on Jan. 30. They deliver it to Mahwah on Jan. 31. The new offices should be open to limited business on Feb. 1. We would appreciate it if you can wait a few days until we get organized. Between late Jan. 30 and Feb. 1, telephone contact may be sporadic. If you would like to help with the move, see below. All mail should now be directed to the new address. Most days someone is at the new address getting things ready for the move.

front3.jpg (45811 bytes)Many hikers should now find it convenient to drop by our new location as it is very close to the center of the hiking area that we serve. It is just south of the intersection of I-287 and Route 17 on Route 202, east of Route 17 (see map). It is less than a mile from the NY state line. The Ramapo River is directly in back of the building which is built on the site of the former Hopper Gristmill. It is a little over a mile to the train at Suffern or Mahwah or the Shortline bus at Mahwah.

Help Move

Thanks to the winter appeal for funds, we are using professional movers to do the heavy lifting and the actual move. Many hands, both in NYC and Mahwah, will make the packing and unpacking job easier. Too many hands at the same time will lead to chaos. Please call the NYC office before Jan. 30 at 212-685-9699 to arrange a time to help. See volunteers below for opportunities to help in Mahwah. It will be a massive job getting everything into the right place.
