The owner of the 63-acre Shirazi property, which lies near the Appalachian Trail on the northern border of Sterling Forest State Park in Monroe, NY, has signed an option agreement to sell the land to the Trail Conference. The parcel features a 1,000-foot high ridgeline that falls within the AT viewshed, extensive wetlands, including a stream that feeds Arrow Lake, woods and rock outcrops. Plans call for adding the property to Sterling Forest State Park.
