Change in reporting dates for trail maintenance

At the February Trails Council meeting, it was decided that the December 31 due date for trail maintenance reports presented problems. Being notified during the time from between Thanksgiving and the end of the year holiday season meant there was not enough time to do maintenance and weather could interfere. There was a ripple effect and supervisors were not filing reports. The attendees decided to move the maintainer’s deadline back to November 30, but retain the June 30 date as it allowed time for spring cleaning.

Due dates for maintainers are now June 30 and November 30. There is a more thorough explaination here which includes details for chairs and supervisors.

The forms on the web pages now reflect those changes. Please use them or contact your supervisor or club trails chair to obtain updated copies.

Now is a good time to start planning your trips to get the winter messes on trails you maintain cleaned up.
