NY-NJ Trail Conference starts restoring historic Mahwah schoolhouse Thursday

The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference will start restoring a historic Mahwah schoolhouse Thursday.

The Trail Conference announced this week that it had met a challenge from the Bolger Foundation of Ridgewood to raise $1 million toward renovations at the Darlington Schoolhouse.

The Bolger Foundation will present the Trail Conference with a $500,000 check as a reward at a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday. Construction is expected to start in December with a targeted completion date of November 2014.
