Route 106 Now Entirely Open in Harriman State Park

The entirety of Route 106 is now open through Harriman State Park, from the Palisades Interstate Parkway to Route 17 and 17A. 

Lake Welch Drive is closed for winter as usual, from the Long Path crossing to the east. Continuation is possible utilizing Johnsontown /St. John's Road, past St. John's Church.  [The road name recently changed from the former to the latter.]  Parking along these roads is forbidden; tickets have sometimes been issued.

Park roads that are closed in winter are identified on our Harriman Bear Mountain Trails maps.  Sebago Beach is also closed for the winter and beyond due to damage from Irene.
