Trail Conference blazes paths at Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve

Body

The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference is blazing, and has agreed to maintain, two footpaths at the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve. Borough Administrator Gregory Hart said the borough will not be charged for trail maintenance. He said the borough’s agreement with the Trail Conference is being finalized and that the Borough Council is expected to approve it this month.

John Moran, co-chairman of the Trail Conference’s North Jersey trail committee, said he is encouraging everyone to use the newly blazed trails at the nature preserve. "Helping to build the trails at the nature preserve has been a wonderful experience," Moran said, "and there are more improvements to come."
