With the office move we need a largely new set of people, both paid
and volunteer, to carry out the essential services we provide. Most of
the lower level staff and volunteers are NYC based and will not
continue.
Volunteer Positions - we will train you
- See the paid opportunities - if you can do one of these with a
strong time commitment, we would love to spend the salary
money on more directly trail related things.
- Answer the phones and in particular answer questions about the
trails or hiking in general. We need coverage all day, everyday
but many people doing a few hours on one day a week on a regular
basis will work for us.
- Stuff envelopes and maps into plastic baggies (on call as
needed)
- General office work
- Help us weed our files and organize them better
- Word processing wiz to update our many forms and brochures
- Computer data entry
- Computer repair technician and help desk (on call)
- Librarian - follow up on overdue books (a few hours once a
month)
- Other jobs (get creative and suggest something you would like to
do)
