The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference is pleased to announce the publication of the revised fifth edition of our Hudson Palisades Trails map set. Made by the people who build the trails, this five-map set covers trails and parklands along the western side of the Hudson River from Fort Lee, NJ northward through Bergen and Rockland counties to Haverstraw, NY. Nearly 100 miles of marked trails and bike paths are shown, featuring approximately 40 miles of the Long Path from its southern terminus at Fort Lee Historic Park.
This revised edition contains multiple improvements and trail updates, including a recent relocation of the Long Path in Hook Mountain State Park, new trails in Lamont Reserve, and a correction in the route of the Shore Trail north of Alpine Boat Basin. Many other minor corrections and changes have been made, making this revised fifth edition of the Hudson Palisades map set even more accurate than before.
Parklands include Palisades Interstate Park, Blauvelt State Park, High Tor State Park, Rockland Lake State Park, Tallman Mountain State Park, Buttermilk Falls Park, Clausland Mountain Park, Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, Gurnee Park, Mountainview Nature Park, Rockleigh Woods Sanctuary/Lamont Reserve, South Mountain Park, and Tenafly Nature Center/Lost Brook Preserve. Additional map features include UTM gridlines, green overprint for public access lands, parking areas, viewpoints and other points of interest. As always, the maps are printed in vibrant color on waterproof, tear-resistant Tyvek.
At only $8.95 ($6.71 for Trail Conference members), this map set is a must-have for outdoor enthusiasts interested in exploring the trails and open space in the Palisades region of New York and New Jersey.
