Park Description:

Formerly the site of a quarry for large boulders, which were crushed to obtain railroad ballast, concrete aggregate, and surfacing for roadbeds, this 273-acre Hunterdon County Park is now covered by second-growth oak forest.

Trails Overview:

From the small parking area, the one-mile Service Road Trail, a woods road, follows a mostly level route into the boulder-strewn forest, passing a swamp along the way. The short South Loop Trail, which crosses a stream twice, can be used as an alternate route for part of the way on the return. Total trails: four
