LaFarge Location and Driving Instructions

Picture of something

From the south: Take route 17 west from the thruway to exit 113 for Rt. 209 and Wurtsboro. Head north on Rt. 209. In about 1 1/2 miles you will be at the main intersection in downtown Wurtsboro. There will be a Stewarts gas and deli on your left. Continue forward through the light on Rt. 209 north. In about another 1 1/2 miles you will see the big Kohl's warehouse on your right. The airport will be on your right in another 1/2 mile. About 1 1/2 miles past the airport you will see Summitville Rd and a sign to Summitville on your left. Do NOT turn, but note that LaFarge is coming up shortly. You'll pass the Blue Sky Manor Trailer Park and a Post Office, both on your right, in the next 1/4 mile. As soon as you pass over the D & H Canal, you should see the Nevele billboard (see picture below) and Ferguson Rd. on your right. I will have a sign indicating the LaFarge entrance and parking areas. If you see another road to Summitville on the left and Casper's Deli turn around because you have gone too far!

From the north: Take Rt. 209 south out of Ellenville. LaFarge is just over 5 1/2 miles south of the Nevele Grand Hotel, which is just south of Ellenville. As you head south, you will hit the Sullivan county line about 3 1/4 miles past the Nevele. In another 2 miles you will see the D & H Canal Park Bova Road turn off, and about 1/2 mile after this you will Casper's Deli on your right. At this point you should see a big billboard on your left for 99.3 FM. The Ferguson Rd turn is left and right past this billboard. I will have a sign indicating the LaFarge entrance and parking areas. If you drive over the D & H canal and then see a post office on your left side turn around because you have gone too far!

Here is a picture of the intersection of Rt. 209 and Ferguson Rd. The view is northbound, and you can see the Ferguson Rd. street sign between the Nevele Grand billboard and the stop sign. The SUV in the picture is headed southbound on Rt. 209 and is right at the turn off for Ferguson Rd.

This is what the entrance area terrain of the LaFarge property looks like:
