Trails

The Four Birds Trail was so named to symbolize the biologic diversity of this region. Regularly North American wild turkeys can be seen in the mixed deciduous forests found along this trail, as well as red-tailed hawks above its cliffs, osprey along its lake shores, and great blue heron in its beaver meadows.

Parking lot changes: There is now parking and a boat launch at the south end of Split Rock Reservoir. It is just a short distance east of the dam (going away from Green Pond Rd) on your left. It has parking for several dozen cars, a interpretive kiosk with maps, the whole deal.
