This trail has been reestablished with orange reflective blazes supplied by PIPC staff.
The western trailhead is marked on a Shagbark Hickory tree, on the south side of Rt. 106, diagonally across the road from the second (most easterly) parking area after the NY Thruway pass over. The two preexisting parking lots should accommodate 10-12 vehicles.
It is 4/10's of a mile east of the Rts. 17 & 17a commuter parking lot and Short Line bus stop.
Hikers using that means of public transportation may also use a Clivus solar composting toilet facility on the "Ramapo River Access" PIPC property (sign on north side of Rt. 106), located between the railroad tracks and the Thruway.
The PCH Trail's eastern trailhead ends at the White Bar Trail.
See Harriman Trails by Bill Myles for additional details, page 300.
