Publications Project Manager

Help the Trail Conference produce a book, map or other publication! We are looking for volunteers to come and take charge of a publication project. Experience in project management is required.
NECESSARY SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience managing projects is required. Knowledge of the publications industry is not required but would be very useful. Ability to utilize computer technology including email, word-processing, spreadsheets etc. is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:
Oversee the production of a book, map or other publication. Coordinate the work of other volunteers, contractors and staff as required. Set a budget and time line for the project, monthly reporting, write preliminary press release and Trail Walker article. Ensure that the publication is of high quality and is produced on time and within the approved budget.

Duration of Assignment:Short term: 2 - 6 months
TIME COMMITMENT:Variable - to ensure that the assigned publication is produced on time and within budget; Minimum of 5 - 7 hours per week .
