Kaaterskill Rail Trail Grand Opening | National Trails Day- June 1st, 2013 | Guided Hike Sign-Up

Please register for the guided hikes that will be part of the Kaaterskill Rail Trail (KRT) Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, June 1st (National Trails Day), 2013 from 10:30am to 3:30pm.  

Guided hikes on the KRT will be led at 11:00am, 11:30am and 12:00pm as part of the day's festivities.  The KRT is a 1.5 mile section of the former Ulster and Delaware Railroad between the Mountain Top Historical Society in Haines Falls, NY and the Laurel House Road near the North-South Lake State Campground.  The total walking length is approximately 3 miles and will take an hour to an hour and a half to complete.  Hikes will begin and end at the Mountain Top Historical Society's campus.   

Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water to stay properly hydrated.

Refreshments will be available at the Mountain Top Historical Society, along with a free BBQ from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
