Bear Mountain-Moving Big Rocks: Trail U 798
This course is specifically for those interested in getting involved in the Bear Mountain Trails Project.
There's an old saying, "Work smarter not harder," and proper tool use is a big part of this concept. This important workshop will save you time on the trail and potential damage to your back and hands. Students learn how properly to use tools like pick mattocks, rock bars, hazel hoes, MacLeods, and sledge hammers. You'll also perform practical excercises in moving large rocks utilizing the mechanical advantage of rock bars and picks.
