Trail U 554 - Stone Splitting and Shaping

This course is designed to educate students on how to split and shape stone to desired dimensions. We'll teach you how properly to use and maintain tools including portable generators, rotary hammer drills, carbide-tipped shaping hammers, and chisels. You'll also learn how to “read” a rock so that it splits properly.

Registration for this workshop will be held in person at the conclusion of the prerequisite Trail U 549 - Intro to Bear Mountain Trails Project.
