Trail U 635: Advanced Invasive Plant Identification

Workshop Number:
635
This workshop teaches ISF volunteers to identify 11 emerging invasive plants listed on the NJ Invasive Species Strike Team's target list and the NY-NJ Trail Conference's Phase 2 list. By learning to identify these emerging invasive plants, volunteers can help spot new occurrences enabling us to eliminate them before they become established.  After completing this course, volunteers may participate in the Trail Conference's Invasives Strike Force as Phase 2  trail monitors. Attendees should be comfortable in their ability to identify the Phase 1 plants. Prerequisite: Attendees must have attended Invasives Strike Force training or have served as an ISF volunteer in 2011 or 2012.
