Trail U 642: Rigging for Trail Work

Workshop Number:
642

High-lines are an extremely efficient way to move large quantities of rock (and other objects) great distances, saving work, maximizing safety, and minimizing construction disturbances. This workshop teaches the student how to safely use and maintain these high-lines on a trail crew. Students will also learn how to set up a basic drag line as well as when each rigging system is appropriate to use.

This course is for members of New York-New Jersey Trail Conference Trail Crews only with preference given to members of the Long Distance Trail Crew.
