Learn how to handle common injuries and illnesses when medical care by emergency medical services may not be easily accessible. An excellent course for anyone who works, travels, or enjoys recreational activities in the wilderness, this course will teach students what to do in the event of an emergency and how to administer the most appropriate treatment. Both days feature classroom time with follow-up field work outdoors, weather permitting. Participants who pass testing will receive Wilderness First Aid certification through the American Red Cross.
Current CPR certification is required in order to be WFA accredited. If you do not have a current certificate, CPT training is offered at an additional $60 on FRIDAY 2/28 6:30-10:00PM. Please advise if you will be attending the CPR class too.
