Commitment Requirement

Trail University provides training for new and currently active volunteers to enable them to adopt a trail for maintenance, join a trail crew, or take part in a special trail project such as our multi-year AT relocation and trails renovation project on Bear Mountain.

Prior to signing up for an advanced workshop, participants are encouraged to volunteer with our regular trail crews or participate in two or more work outings. Trail Conference membership will be required after the first outing.

We try to keep workshops free of charge and open to our membership and interested parties. Workshop size is often limited and in such cases preference is generally given to active volunteers and members. In certain instances, where noted, an invitation and/or workshop fee may be required.
