Mount Taurus Hike: Trail Project + Steward Program Update

Join us for a scenic, 4.6-mile tour of the scenic trails of Mount Taurus in beautiful Hudson Highlands State Park.

Explore the Trail Conference Conservation Corps trail construction and repair projects now underway to improve the user experience. You'll also hear firsthand about the success of the Breakneck Ridge Trail Steward Program, which is operating nearby. Since 2013, the Trail Conference has been committed to educating and assisting the public in the safe, enjoyable, and responsible use of hiking trails through our Trail Steward Program.

We will enjoy some of the Hudson Valley's most impressive views of places like Storm King Mountain, the Catskills, and Shawangunks, and the Hudson River Valley. Due to the distance and one significant climb and descent, this hike is recommended for people with reasonably good cardiovascular fitness.
