About the Instructor

Don Weise has been wandering the mountains and trails of the U.S. and Europe for nearly 50 years, and has led guided hikes for the WWW/West Milford 13ers hiking clubs since the mid-1990s. He is the author of two books, Circuit Hikes in Harriman and West Milford Baker’s Dozen. As Director of Development and Membership for the Trail Conference, Don also leads regular Member Appreciation hikes and Saturday morning trail runs. He is a volunteer trail maintainer, serves on the West Milford Environmental Commission, and is an outspoken advocate for land and trail preservation.
